Hi all, just to let you know that we won the National RA Quiz Final once again! :)

Super Manager - Bob Green and Top Skipper - Andy Green led the team to an enjoyable 2nd time victory beating the 6 time champions Gravesend.

Bring on Bromley next year!

Would be great to see some more support from members next year to see if we can retain the title. It's a good day out.

This months meeting will see the return of Alan Wiley to Erewash Valley. Alan is amongst the select group of English referees who officiate on the Barclays Premiership and has also refereed both the FA and Carling cup finals. Those who caught Alan's presentation last year will vouch for what an informative and entertaining speaker Alan is. So don't miss this opportunity to hear the thoughts of someone that many people (me included) consider to be the best referee in the Premiership. Alan is a smashing, friendly guy who is open to questions and is sure to provide a great evening. The meeting will start at 7.30pm at the Robin social club, The New Manor Ground, Ilkeston Town FC, Awsworth Road, Ilkeston. All existing and potential new members are most welcome to come down.

Andy,

Congratulations on the new website - keep up the good work.

Was as interested to see your new website as I was to discover Hoptons picture popping up all over the place.

Nice lad, but he'll never be much of a good looker ;)

Came across an interesting scenario tonight on a MRA prem game. Want to see what you guys think.

The player had a wrist band on and refused to remove it as it was a medical band - had details of an illness and how to treat in an emergency - i believe like a diabetic band. Did not want to open myself up to any legal matters so i let him play with it on but asked that it was well taped so posed no threat to him or other players.

Is there any thing in law that covers this and if not should we be bringing it to the attention of the governing bodies? What would you guys do???????? It was taped with clear tape as well!!
